Well, I did it.
I have successfully reintroduced myself to life as normal after Mexico.
It was tough.
It was depressing.
It was downright angering.
But here I am, feeling just about normal again with the Mexicoma just about packed away (until next year!).
I know you are probably thinking, “Hey Lors… we get it. You were in Mexico and it was great. Why you gotta keep talking about it?!”
Well, I keep talking about it because it truly was a magical vacation.
The beach and sun were amazing, and being with my husband was just so great.
And you know what else is great about my little getaway?
(Hint: I have told you this before in a previous email…)
I get to wear my thong bikini!
And here’s the truth…
At first, it’s kind of nerve wracking. I see the “trouble” parts of my body that will always be there and the parts that I don’t like.
But then, slowly but surely, I OWN walking around in my thong bikini.
I’m not self conscious about my body, and I actually love it!
I love it because I know I worked for this, and I do love my shape.
And it’s really freeing to walk around that way without wondering what people are thinking!
All that to say, if you aren’t feeling so great about getting into a bikini this weekend, here are two “Lors pieces of wisdom for you”:
1. Only you care about your problem areas
2. If you ignore them, they will have no control over you.
So BOOM! Break out your bikini/swimsuit with confidence.
And, just in case you are still freaking about about shorts and suits, I have an AWESOME workout for you to get your bod feeling great.
Before you begin this workout, warm up your body by walking or jogging for 8-10 minutes. Perform each exercise for 8-12 reps. Repeat this sequence 3x. Finish with 5-8 minutes of stretching. When you are first starting out, begin exercising for 20 minutes, and then work your way up to 45 minutes.
1. Squat Thrusts.
Perform 8-12 reps.
2. Crunch.
Perform 8-12 reps.
3. Bicycles.
Perform 8-12 reps.
4. Back Extensions.
Perform 8-12 reps.
So there you have it! A workout you can do to get your body bikini ready and feel confident this Memorial day weekend.
