Boot Camp Challenge® Trainer
Amy’s personal training career began after an event that was life changing. This experience led her to recognize that physical exercise helped her to relieve stress in her life. After a few months of working out she discovered that movement made her feel strong and in more control. She decided to divert her depression into something more productive by seeking a new direction in her life.
Discovering exercise was an avenue that encouraged her to explore all forms of body movement. This eventually led her into her true calling in life which is to assist others in becoming physically stronger and healthier each day. This passion has been ongoing for 29 years.
While working for the YMCA in her home town, it became apparent that various classes were much needed to properly condition a body for optimum performance. For years she taught classes in Eccentric/Concentric movement such as Strength, Cardio, Spinning, Aquatics, Pilates, Tai-Chi and Yoga. She soon discovered that having learned all these different forms of exercise had transformed her into a well rounded trainer.
Since 1986 her certifications include accreditation by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), standards recommended by the International Health, Racquet and Sports Club Association (IHRSA) ,the Medical Fitness Association (MFA), and the National Posture Institute (NPI) in Posture Analysis Correction.
